Q. I'm flying from Dublin to Osaka tomorrow via Amsterdam. There is only 90 minutes betwen the Dublin flight landing and the Osaka flight departing. I just checked the Dublin airport website and the Amsterdam flight was delayed. If the same happens tomorrow I'll miss the connection. Now I'm very nervous.

As long as it is a valid connection, meaning the airline made the connection they will always take care of you if you miss it. 90 minutes would always qualify as a legal connection. 90 mins is alot of time , even if your flight is delayed you should still make your flight. The airlines build in an extra 1/2 hour. So even if you are delayed an 1 hour in Dublin, you will still have 60 mins to spare. One other thing to remember is that airlines have everything computerized. If there are several people on your flight, and other flights that are delayed and trying to make that same connecting flight, the airline will know, and hold your connecting flight up to about 30 mins. How long is your tax return delayed if you owe from last year?

IRS will also search your account to make sure you are in full compliance by filing tax returns from 2002 through 2007, if there is a missing tax return, then IRS will hold the refund until you file your tax return. Why are movie openings delayed in other countries?
Q. Some movies are launched simultaneously, others are delayed months. WHY? It seems to me the movie industry is begging for illegal downloads, because if they launched the movie in all countries at the same time there would be much less pirating.

A. I would argue that someone could have both at once. these are both communication disorders that are common with autism. I have had only one or two patients with tourette's as children but dozens with echolalia. the improvement of communication skills seemed to be demonstrated by the repetition of phrases or even whole sentences rather than true echolalia of repeating only what was heard immediately. i think of delayed echolalia as more of a communication tool for people than true echolalia.

A. Maybe he doesn't understand the whole concept that a question needs an answer. Have someone model it for him. Ask him a question, such as "What's your name?" or "What's your favorite food?". If he doesn't get it, tell him to watch you, then ask another adult or child the same question. When he/she answers the question, give him/her lots of praise, a high five, whatever, and then turn to your child, say "your turn!", and then ask him. If he is unable to do this, model again with another person. If he is still unable to answer simple questions, you need to take him for further evaluations. Good luck!

Q. I have wanted to be a Care Aid or Teachers Aid for Developmentally Delayed Children for many years. Now that my youngest is 18 years old I think I would like to see what is entale in this type of employment. Where do I check on the internet? Is there a specific business for me to call? TY

A. You could probably call most headstart or preschools and get information from them. Most have that sort of information or have special classes. Also, try contacting your public school system. They often need aides for special needs classes.

Would my flight be delayed because of a Hurricane?
Q. I am Flying Calgary-Dallas-Tampa in Aug and I woundered if there was a storm would my flight be delayed? This is if their is a storm in the gulf or on the coast of Tex, or Lous not in Dallas.

A. If they need to delay then yes your flight would be delayed. I flew into Atlanta inbetween 3 storms (there were 3 hurricanes in a row) the sky looked like one huge powderpuff, but they made it just fine. There is no way to really answer this question.

How long can a period be delayed?
Q. So, my period is about two weeks late, but I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. Two of my friends periods' were about a month late, so I was just wondering, how long can it be delayed for, and why would it be? It could be stress, but I don't feel stressed. Is it possible to be stressed with out knowing it? I know there's a possibility of being prenant also though.

A. im assuming youre sexually active then haha. maybe go to the docs if youve had sex recently just to be sure... however, have you changed your diet/exercise? a decrease in eating and/or a increase in excercise can change your flow too.
