Has anyone had the message about a delay and a error code 1201?
Q. dose anyone know what this means i am supposed to get mt dd on friday .I called IRS Friday and they said thay seen nothing to delay so why dose the web site say that there is one and when i call the bank thay say it is sch.to be deposited on the 12th can this still happen has anyone got this code did you you get your refund on time

Is cognitive delay the new code word for mental retardation.?
Q. I would like to know if cognitive delay = Retardation because my mom told me that when I was 18 months old I had a Cognitive delay by 10 months and I looked that up on wikipedia and It meant mental retardation. i have Autism Spectrum disorder and 22q deletion syndrome so that might cause some problems. I am male 16 now so I don't know.

A. In your case I believe the cognitive delay certainly had to do with the Autism Spectrum disorder. I think they are using that term because it is more general than a term that has I.Q. connotations. Mental retardation, developmental disability - both have permanence, whereas cognitive delay can include an issue that would change over time.

Q. Since becoming self-employed four years ago, our refund is always delayed a number of weeks with the 1201 code as a reason. The first year it happened, we called and were told that the delay was because we filed a joint return, but I'd paid the estimated tax payments using just my social security number. So I switched to both SS numbers for the next year and again a delay. This time the agent said it was because we'd paid the estimated taxes under both SS instead of just mine. So last year, I paid the estimated taxes under my SS again and again was delayed. I called and they said the delay was still about our filing a joint return but my paying estimated taxes and that I should be paying them using my husband's SS. I wasn't about to do… [cont.]

Most of the time efile is for free in most software, I bought turbotax and got efile for free, but as days went by I didnt get my refund on the 24th like I was supposed to, so I called IRS and they told me the same thing, that there was some sort of delay in their system, they didnt give me much detail but ive heard a lot of people having their refunds delayed, its sad that at such time the way the economy is, that we cant access our funds when we need it the most, when the IRS needs people to pay they charge penalties/fees, shouldnt we be getting interest on all these delays???

Java code to make a message box appear after a timed delay?

A. 1201 does not mean they are keeping are rufund it means delay in process

A. You may want to go here: or look up the individual code on the web including the name of the tax software you used. Knowing the IRS though, they more than likely won't have a clue as to what the error means.

In my husband's ERB it states: DELAY SEPARATION CODE: U. Can't find it's meaning anywhere. What does it mean?
Q. In his ERB it reads: AEA/Dt U/201008. I have reviewed the latest of AR 614 200 and I am not seeing the U code! What does this mean? **More info** He is currently deployed && this info changed as of 01/15/2009. Thats the only reason I ask. Ok I would relax...I looked at my husbands and his Dt 6/201008...I would assume the 201008 is the month and year I know my husband just re-enlisted...and it is Delay Separation Reason not code...looked some more and came up with AEA means Army Enterprise Architecture and according to the site I found U means urgency factor...I am giving you the link but I have no idea what either one of those mean either but at least now you have a little more information...I hope I helped a little bit... I hope you look at this again...AEA means Assignment Eligibility and Availability and his code is U which means Enlistment Commitment and the 201008 is when it expires...I found all this info on ASK under the PDL tab
