Maryland ( /ˈmɛrələnd/ (help·info)) is a state located in the Mid Atlantic region of the United States, bordering Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia to the south and west, Pennsylvania to the north, and Delaware to the east. There were a few Skirmishes on the Eastern Shore and some Indians survived to the early 18th century in the swamps of Wicomico county, then in 1834 President Jackson forced all the Indians left on the East coast to be moved to Present Day Oklahoma.
