MY IRS REFUND REFERENCE CODE 8001?
Q. When I logged on to the check my refund status on the IRS website the page gave me a reference code of 8001 but when I called in an IRS representative said that my refund will be mailed and she said the status is that it will be mailed next week. I was wondering whats up with that? Another thing is that the phone in refund checker said the same as the IRS representative.

A. Believe what they say, not what you can see. You can go to www.irs.gov and do a search for that code, but if they said it's coming, I would go with that.

wat does reference code 8001 mean?
Q. i have been checking the WMR on the IRS website and it said code 1301 since April 20, i even called the IRS and NO ONE knows why. Checked it yesterday it said the same 1301 code. Today it said unable to find information at this time, now tonight it says code 8001. I have called the IRS tonight and yet they dont have a clue. So is there any irs workers out there who might actually know what the hell this means and and can tell me when I will get my refund? Thanks.. BTW... I had to mail in the return and I do have the Home Credit on there and H&R Block prepared it. i mailed my return in on Feb 15 2010 and I had a DD of April 20, it changed to code 1301 and now 8001 no information avaiable.. How long after April 20 before I know something?… [cont.]
